One could have told you the story of an improbable meeting during a jam session under the tropics, but the truth is that Max and Gabi met on the acne-covered benches of high school.
Taking advantage of the momentum from their music class, the two friends launched one project after another. A shared desire to write and perform their own songs first led them to unusual stages and then to more established ones. Around these intersecting projects, the number of musicians surrounding them kept growing.
In 2022, when their main band wasn’t available for a last-minute replacement, Max and Gabi decided to put together a duo set. Three days and three very short nights later, they made an audience dance and sing along, who seemed particularly receptive.
So why not?

The seed took some time to sprout, and during the summer of 2023, the duo went on a creative residency in Soulac. Alternating between surfing and studio sessions, the coast inspired them with the first melodies that would become the tracks of their EP Premier Date.
Their determination to play their music live remained unchanged. Max and Gabi overcame their fears, switching respectively from guitar to keyboards and from backing vocals to lead vocals.

Now ready to electrify venues with a dazzling debut set, PERKÉ with a K is eager to take the stage and captivate its audience.

With several singles already available, their EP “Premier Date” is set to release in May 2025.
